INSTALLATION
The Solar Water Heating System

Once installed, your solar hot water system will typically save you up to 70% of your annual fuel bill for providing hot water, year after year, using clean, renewable energy, and insulating you from the rising cost of gas and oil.

Our installation will work efficiently to provide you with hot water, even on cold days, using diffused sunlight as it's energy source.

Planning permission is not normally required, as the installation of solar panels falls within the category of permitted development. Most local authorities take a positive view of energy saving improvements.

Our system requires virtually no maintenance - we would just reccomend a simple annual inspection as you would for the rest of your heating system.
The Three Main Components
The Collector: This can be mounted on a pitched or flat roof. You will have the choice of either a flat-plate type or the more efficient evacuated tube collector.
Evacuated solar tubes take full advantage
of winter sun and are particularly suitable for the U.K. climate.
The Solar Cylinder: A twin coil cylinder is an essential part of the system. The new insulated solar cylinder will replace your existing hot water cylinder - usually located in an airing cupboard - taking maximum advantage of solar energy transferred from the collector. Your existing boiler provides backup heat when required.
The Control Panel: When the collectors are hotter than the cylinder, the advanced multi-function controller switches on the system's circulating pump.
A mixture of anti-freeze and water is then circulated through the collector to the cylinder's heat exchanger. The display allows you to monitor how much energy you have saved.
